Bláth na dTulach, is a collection of short stories by Irish language writers from every corner of the province of Ulster. The beauty of an anthology is it offers the reader an opportunity to sample a wide range of styles. Each writer brings their own distinct voice but the common thread in this collection is Ulster and it’s particular flavour of the Irish language. Love stories, stories of revenge, stories full of hope and humour; no matter what a reader’s preference is, there is a story for them. Some of the stories are informed by an oral folklore tradition, while others belong to a more contemporary school of literature. For readers who long to improve their aural understanding, these stories are accompanied by a monthly audio story and online publication. The reader can listen to the story being read by a native lrish language speaker from the Ulster region, while following the written word on the page.
